Yet although God does not forgive, His Love is nevertheless the basis of forgiveness. Fear condemns and love forgives. Forgiveness thus undoes what fear has produced, returning the mind to the awareness of God. For this reason, forgiveness can truly be called salvation. It is the means by which illusions disappear. We say, “Be willing to forgive the Son of God for what he did not do.” (T-17.III.I) This type of radical forgiveness is explained in A Course in Miracles and when the principles are practiced and applied we are brought into an experience of true innocence.
We are no longer at the effect of the world and we no longer need to play the victim as we “let the past go, and look without condemnation upon the present.” (T-13.VI.3:5) For so long we blamed conditions and sought for a solution outside of us. We now turn our attention inward to where the Answer is. As we become more willing to question our thinking and let go of our limiting beliefs we allow space for a different interpretation and a new understanding. We begin to see that we have been doing it all to ourselves and that we really do not know anything.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”FROM VIGILANCE TO PEACE” font_container=”tag:h4|font_size:14px|text_align:left|line_height:24px” google_fonts=”font_family:Raleway%3A100%2C200%2C300%2Cregular%2C500%2C600%2C700%2C800%2C900|font_style:600%20bold%20regular%3A600%3Anormal” el_class=”letter-spacing-2″ css=”.vc_custom_1590884492224{margin-top: 30px !important;}”][vc_column_text]Although you can love the Sonship only as one, you can perceive it as fragmented. It is impossible, however, to see something in part of it that you will not attribute to all of it. That is why attack is never discrete, and why it must be relinquished entirely. If it is not relinquished entirely it is not relinquished at all. Fear and love make or create, depending on whether the ego or the Holy Spirit begets or inspires them, but they will return to the mind of the thinker and they will affect his total perception. That includes his concept of God, of His creations and of his own. He will not appreciate any of Them if he regards Them fearfully. He will appreciate all of Them if he regards Them with love. For here we come to a decision to accept ourselves as God created us. And what is choice except uncertainty of what we are? There is no doubt that is not rooted here. There is no question but reflects this one. There is no conflict that does not entail the single, simple question, “What am I?” (W-139.1)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
